Begin your day with breakfast or coffee along the waterfront before the roads become warmer and busier.

Fill up with fuel, bring plenty of water and download an offline Google Map before leaving town.

2. Drive Towards Komiža

Instead of rushing straight across the island, enjoy the journey.

Along the way you’ll pass:

• vineyards
• olive groves
• traditional stone houses
• panoramic viewpoints
• quiet villages like Podšpilje and Marine Zemlje

This is one of the most beautiful drives anywhere in Dalmatia.

3. Explore Komiža

Spend an hour wandering the charming fishing town.

Don’t miss:

• the waterfront promenade
• local cafés
• fishing museum
• bakery
• small harbour

If you’re visiting in summer, take a short swim before continuing.

4. Visit One (or Two) Beaches

Rather than trying to see every beach, choose one or two.

Popular options include:

• Stiniva
• Srebrna
• Kamenice
• Zaglav
• Grandovac

Each offers a completely different atmosphere.

5. Drive to Hum Viewpoint

No road trip on Vis is complete without visiting Hum.

At over 580 metres above sea level you’ll enjoy spectacular 360-degree views across the island and the Adriatic.

This is one of the island’s best photography locations.

6. Discover the Interior

Many visitors never explore inland Vis.

Take time to visit:

• small vineyards
• family wineries
• lavender fields (seasonal)
• traditional villages
• local olive groves

This quieter side of the island often becomes visitors’ favourite memory.

7. Finish with Sunset

Drive back towards Kut or Fort George for sunset.

Both offer beautiful evening light over the Adriatic and are perfect places to end the day with dinner or a drink.
